Rick Olivieri, has extensive experience in the compensation field working on performance management, salary, incentive, stock, sales, international, and executive compensation programs. He has held managerial positions at Adaptec, Union Bank, US Sprint, and Bank of America. In addition, he was a consultant for Towers-Perrin, Sibson & Company, and Ernst & Young.
He has been quoted in the New York Times, CFO Magazine and HR Executive Magazine, and currently, publishes an electronic newsletter called Comp Connection. He has been President of the Bay Area Compensation Association (BACA) for over 15 years and he speaks frequently at various compensation and Human Resources organization meetings and seminars. Rick teaches compensation at UC Berkeley and has a Masters degree in Industrial and Labor Relations.
Don Helt works as an independent HR consultant and is also a principal for Compensation Connection. Don’s background includes a consulting practice in HR and compensation, industry experience as Director and VP of Human Resources in both public and private corporations and entrepreneurial experience as founder and President of an HR software firm. Don has served as founder and chair of the Bay Area Compensation Association and is a Board member for Compensation Connection. Client projects have included workforce, sales and executive compensation; technology solutions for human resources departments; and strategic organizational planning and development. He holds a BS degree in Industrial Relations from Rider University in New Jersey and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
